My first Garterlac cloth

I'm planning on teaching knitting lessons this summer. I needed a project for the advanced class, and someone suggested the Garterlac dishcloth. Great idea. However, if one is going to teach something, it might help if one has tried it first. Hence, my very first Garterlac cloth! It took me a little while to get the hang of it, (Ok, I almost quit) but I finally figured it out, and I think I'm going to use it for my lessons. It was so much fun to make! I love the way it looks. Here's a picture.

Knitting in random places

I just finished Driver's Ed. It made for a really long week! Now all I have to do is actually drive, which should be interesting. I managed to get my kites (for the Kite Along) involved. The teacher said we could bring a book or something, so I brought my knitting instead. It kept me sane! I got 5 2/3 kites done, so I felt like I accomplished something. (I mean besides learning to drive.) Here's a picture of all my kites so far.

May KAL

This one is so pretty! Usually I keep my KALs, but I think I'll give this cloth to my second cousin, who is getting married in August. I used P&C light green, and I love it with this pattern!

Don't we look great in our makeup? The people in the resturant must have thought we were nuts. David's hair is still grey.
Having fun!
That's all. Hope you enjoyed it. Hope you weren't bored. I won't be around much next week, because I'll be taking Driver's Ed. *sigh*
